SHITBAGZ
Today was running a tit for tat with great bursts of creative action buffered by icy slush stew buffered by great podcasts buffered by Bank of America buffered by bright futures buffered by the spectral past buffered by easier than you thought buffered by stubborn clients and finally social networking proving its merit with a posting from REUTER: A hypnotic site by the name of SHITBAGZ
Running a search into this cryptic hit-the-nail-on-the-head creation yields more questions than answers (AOL Music - BETA?) but we get closer with this clue:
I LIVE MY LIFE LIKE THERES NO TOMORROW !!!

CELTICS 09
I went to my first Knicks game last night courtesy of The French Connection (Montreal), John Carroll. It was a great experience and they had a key win over tough Houston. Highlights also included Spike Lee sightings, John McEnrow, in the house and Lunar New Year displays at half time including BD Wong singing the anthem (Yao was out - doing some celebrating no doubt).
I predict a rematch between Boston and LA in the FINALS - it will go 7 games. I know these two want eachother again; its only right. BOSTON will win. Go BOSTON!
OBAMA QUOTE
As the antidote to nearly 10 years of The Bush Administration's constant gaffes and bobo moves, I will offer quotes from President Obama and his staff
President Obama -
"...I do think it is impossible for us to think only in terms of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and not think in terms of what’s happening with Syria or Iran or Lebanon or Afghanistan and Pakistan,...the Muslim world is filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives.”
“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy. We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect. But if you look at the track record, as you say, America was not born as a colonial power, and that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there’s no reason why we can’t restore that. And that I think is going to be an important task,..”

CANCEL CABLE
One of the fun projects of late has been assisting HANDCANCEL with new segments for the CANCEL CABLE series of videos. The new spots, Craigslist Creeps are centered on the random encounters that only Craigslist can provide. Essentially buyers and sellers get to square off and weird each other out. Buyers will always assume the role of some of the worst anecdotal, stereotypical profiles out there. The sellers will always offer wacko items. This sort of exercise is especially fitting as the frugal flags are flying full these days.

BK to UK
Oh...my new favorite blogs are quite British.
Bushwick, Brooklyn calling out to UK friends!
PICNIC-LAND always seems to have amazing photos / slice of life / mp3's, while THIS IS NOT AN EXIT runs a full service site / label / blog in leagues with some other fav merry makers.

JAZZ IN THE WINTERTIME
One thing about the cold weather - radio listening becomes a constant.
As I work at home, on the solo, it helps to make time go by. Go ahead and cancel cable, just leave the internet on to stream all kinds of stuff. Lots of good best of the year mixes have popped up in all flavors disco, electro, now-soul but most exciting these days has been a nearly 15 hr jazz funk marathon followed by a 30 hour Brian Eno marathon sponsored by Harvard University radio, WHRB...thanks!
While recording this I stumbled across the fact that Columbia University radio is firing back with a Roy Haynes marathon of over 300 hours. Bap! Take that. Perfect for listening on a Saturday afternoon, brunch style. The paws will be on pause for this too.

BARF
Did I mention how sick I am of winter? Oh, well...BAG IT!
I am SO sick of it - give me those summer days and nights gone by.
I love the fact that in these picture's we're standing around a fire - yet it's so warm I need to rock desert gear...as opposed to now where its, um 10 degrees but sweating at night is wonderful.
I owe Pete a big one for this life saving time capsule.

FREE HAMSTER, VERY ANNOYING, SLEEPS AT DAYTIME, RUNS AT NIGHT ON HIS HAMSTER THING, BITES. ORIGINALLY LITTLE SISTER WANTED A PET, WE GOT HER A HAMSTER, SINCE THE HAMSTER BIT HER ONCE, SHE'S SCARED OF IT AND DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. IT JUST STAYS ON THE TABLE IN ITS HAMSTER CAGE. SHE DOESN'T CLEAN IT OR ANYTHING. IM SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING MOM CLEAN IT AND IT SERVING NO PURPOSE.

My friend Sara B sent me this.
There seems to be alot of this behavior on the net. What's the deal?
I like the way this crazylady's hair falls off during the gag.
The internet multiverse will save us when TV goes off the air in Feb 09.
