But the UK's SUPERSONIC concert event made me rethink multi band concerts with Goblin (see above) headlining.

My friend Morgan got me hip to The Flower Travellin' Band, a Japanese psych rock outfit who's been freakin it for many years. Too bad I missed their first ever US show a few months ago...and you probably did too.

I'm a big fan of tape deejays. They have to work the crowd twice as hard, keep their gear in check, practice, choreograph, and keep the mind sharp. Back in the day I hosted a party called wkndwryrz and one of affairs featured a live tape-jay set by Handcancel.
