TV CHILL PILL, DUDE

One of my first cassette tapes was Genesis - Invisible Touch. Their stuff still makes me stop and feel some chills.

Sting and the Police weren't bad in their day but now I guess they're best left to fake TV stars.

You decide.

NEW ORDER (proto)

In elementary school we used Texas Instrument's T.I. LOGO software - but not like these blokes. Anybody remember "RT 45" or the "SPRITES"?
I'm not joking.

COMMUNICATION

Apple vs. PC, Diesel, speaking on a personal level, VOIP, HDTV, Public Access, Baby Bell, nuclear radio, iPhones, GPS, speaking on a public level, satellite, Al Jezeera, PBS, Faxes and Pagers.

BORING!

I'm straight up TELETYPE.

I love these things for their violent style of speaking.

Check out this monster in action, "Hello, do you hear me?!?!" (00:38)

...or this loud mouth?

imagine this blowhard at a cocktail party?

SHE FUNK

Wish I was chilling at this party - for real...

Get the scoop on the vamps of volume vunk vock - SHE FUNK is devoted to The Brides of Funkenstein and Parlet. Thanks to Lani for the tip. I'm surprised I never found this.

My fav Brides LP - Never Buy Texas From A Cowboy

Never's title track is the kind of Brides jamn that stays in your head for days and Parlet could do no wrong in my book. These women brought some HEAT of their own in their phase of greatness. iTunes that mess.

ISAAC HAYES IS AWESOME

I forgot - thanks Sasha!

News to me but I guess ?uestlove from the Roots is producing Al Green's next album - for real! Green's work over recent years has been spot on I think. This should be some kind of a record.

Almost like a battle where SMOOTH meets DRUMS

DESERT LIFE / ALIEN FIELD

I feel in love with the desert and I guess and I have an affinity for kids media projects so this is a no brainer. Plus Ken Field is on the air (88.1) and plays mad music as seen below in the Revolutionary Snake Ensemble.

He just finished a teaching project in New Mexico - He worked with 3rd & 5th graders to make a short animated film/soundtrack about Roswell and may be up for an award.

FUN!
I like the way the kids Foley in their voices in the bird sanctuary.

ONE-NESS

I heard an amazing tune last night by SHAMEK FARRAH called First Impressions

A quick search in the www lead me to my new favorite blog called
ORGY IN RHYTHM

I equally love the internet and fear the internet.
